| 1956 22" zanchi ride cymbal zanchi cymbals was an italian brand that was competing with K zildjian back in the day. the later cymbals are stamped "zanki" due to the mispronunciation of "zanchi." this is the earlier, most likely from '56, '57 at the latest.
the cymbal is in nice shape, a little keyholing but nothing serious. its med-thin, very crashable, with a smokey-complex wash and nice woody stick definition. not quite as dark as something like an old K from istanbul, but still a pretty dark cymbal. really versatile cymbal, not too dark for rock, great funk cymbal, great jazz main or left side ride. a bit darker sounding than old A's. it is hand hammered. it is drilled for 4 rivets- 2 on each side, currently has 3 installed. two are Sabian steel rivets, and one Bosphorus brass rivet. the rivets are easily removable..
i have pictures and sound samples upon request. looking to get $250 and i'll split shipping to upper 48. local sales preffered, can meet almost anywhere on long island or manhattan.
not sure if i missed anything. i have pictures and sound samples (with and without the rivets.) just PM me your email adress and i can send them.
