For sale I have a vintage circa 1965 Pre CBS Fender Mustang Guitar.
was 1800 Shipped NOW 1600 or best Offer via PAYPAL. No trades please, I need the money for a macbook pro. Comes with a brand new fender gig bag (60$ at musicians friend) and strung with ernieball 010s.
Neck stamp states its a B type neck made in JULY of 65. I got this guitar as a trade and am not the original owner. It was stripped natural when I got it and probably had been refinished a couple of times before and I decided to bring it back to life. When stripping the guitar, searching the neck pocket and below the pickguard revealed what looked like daphne blue or some sort of blue fender used in the day as the likely original color of this guitar. The stamp on the body's neck pocket was gone though. It did not have pickups and the pickguard was routed for a humbucker in the middle position which may have been an aftermarket job (I haen't seen other mustangs like this but it looks professionally done so maybe a custom order over at fender?). The rest of the guitar is stock to my knowledge. I put seymour duncans (a tele bridge pup, humbucker, and single coil neck pup). Has a 5 position switch selector. Guitar is mint and new basically (it is unused since being refinished and I received it just this week). Frets were just dressed, and guitar plays excellently.
