Thought I'd throw this one out there and see if there is any interest- 1974 Tele that I believe is 99.9% original (I replaced the switch knob with an NOS one because it was cracked and epoxied). This guitar has been around the block a few times, and it shows. Don't get me wrong, it plays beautifully!!! But it was gigged hard for 35+ years. The guitar came from a friend (drummer) who played with the original owner in a local band. The guitarist bought the tele new, and passed away in 2009(ish), leaving it to his drummer, and I acquired it from him.
There is considerable wear to the frets, and back of the guitar--buckle rash galore! But everything that is there is original (except the knob)- neck, body, tuners, pg, pickups, wiring, pots, saddles, bridge, cover....all original. And it is a SWEET player. Twang for miles.
I had it apart a couple of years ago, and if I remember correctly, it is from the 50th week of 1974 (same as my p bass..weird)
The case is an 80s fender blown plastic case. The original imploded and was replaced way back when. I have a brand new G&G I can include for $100.
I'm looking to get $2750, shipping extra dependent on location- no trades at this time. Anyone local with interest, drop me a line,I'd be happy to let you swing by and try it out.
I'm also working on getting some better pics--
