1997 Taylor 714 w/ K&K pickup

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a Taylor 714 for sale. Made in 1997. It has a K&K Pure Western pickup installed.

There are some cosmetic issues I should address. There are a couple minor dents/dings on the guitar. There is one bigger spot on the back where clear coat chipped off. Looks like a previous owner filled it in with clear nail polish. I have all the major dents/dings in the pics with the light shining on them so there are no surprises. That also makes them look worse than they really appear.

Now, soundwise and as a player, this guitar is AMAZING. One of the best playing Taylors Ive had my hands on. The amplified tone is great, and sounds very natural. I have this guitar next to my 510 in one pic to show the amber colored top.

Also, for whatever reason this 714 has mahogany back and sides. Not sure why that it, but the tag inside says 714. Comes with the cool pink lined case.

Im only selling because I have this guitar and a 510. I cant justify having 2 acoustics right now (Im a bassist). Im partial to the X10s, so thats the only reason this is on the market.

All that said, Id like $1,100 shipped and insured. PayPal preffered.

Wouldnt this be a 710 or something since it doesnt have a cutaway? My guitarist friend has a 714 that has one.

Regardless, very sweet guitar...these sound amazing.

No, the numbers identify the body size. An x10 is a dreadnought, and an x14 is a grand auditorium ( smaller and slimmer than a dread)

The 714s can be ordered with cutaways, and the 714CE, is a 714 with a cutaway, and factory electronics.

Its a smokin guitar for sure.

Ah, gotcha. I dont claim to know much of anything when it comes to guitars except whether or not they sound good.

Good luck with the sale...shouldnt be too hard to unload such a nice gitter.

That is so nice... I'm trying right now to figure out a way to do it. I'm curious about the width at the nut please?

Thanks
