those of you who know me know that i'm a secret jazz drummer, so when i have bills to pay its the cymbals and drums that go first. unfourtunately i need my basses to make my living, and the drums i rarely get paid to play.. so here we go.
this is a 100% handmade 22" med-thin ride, made by cymbalsmith Matt Bettis. bettis is, in short, a crazy mofo who makes the best modern cymbals around. sound wise they're like an old K zildjian, only they tend to have a certain character to them. what i've found with modern boutique cymbalsmiths as opposed to vintage K zildjians is that, they all go for that sticky-complex wash sound, however, the modern guys are working under their own name- and thus tend to hold a higher quality standard, as opposed to the old K zildjian factory, witch produced tons of junky ones in its time. but enough about that- heres what this one sounds like-

and what it looks like under fancy lights-
for this one, i'm asking $350 + actual shipping.
edit- i forgot to mention that after purchasing it i had the maker drill two rivet holes. currently has no rivets installed.
