2 nice full suspension mountain bikes

2006 Specialized FSR XC Comp, large- about a 19": $650 shipped CONUS/SOLD.

2005 Cannondale Gemini 900, also large: $800 shipped CONUS.

Former shop mechanic/now stay-at-home-dad-owned; meaning they're well-taken care of & not ridden enough. I have extra stems(for better sizing)& other parts for both bikes & will go through & thoroughly clean & tune both of them.

oh man if that FSR bike were a medium it would be gone. I have a large and love it (SJ Pro FSR) one of my buddies would be on that like white on rice, he just needs a couple more inches of leg ... bump for the FSR !

Mal, I won't try to talk your bud into it, but I have thrown a short stem & post/saddle combo on to downsize it for shorter(than my 6'2")peeps w/very good results; the top tube is very low & in fact for me, I'd actually like a longer top tube. Thanks for the bumpage anyway.

Well, again- I do not want to make trouble between you & your pops. I rode for years w/no suspension, & will always have a fully-rigid()bike or two just to remind me how nice shocks are. That said, I have been slowly going through the bike, rebuilding all the pivots & various sub-assemblies. I just threw a quick coat of black spray paint on the big ring & pedals, just to *nice it up* a bit. I will take extensive pics when it's all back together(just in case it goes off to the bay..). Nah, my dad has biked for years and the fact Im getting back into it is enough to settle any disputes.

Not sure what you mean by *EX*, but the parts are: SRAM X-7 shifters & rear derailleur(Shimano front der- LX, I think; can't see it in the dark garage), Hayes brakes, Mavic 321 rims & Cannondale hubs, Fox rear shock & Manitou Sherman fork(150/170mm rear travel & 152/170mm front). Profile Stiffy stem(I'll include the short Cannondale stocker & 31.6mm bars)& bars. Cannondale generic post & seat, Saint 180mm crankset w/32/22t rings & bashguard and GT BMX platform pedals, but again- I'll throw in a set of Shimano clipless on whichever bike sells first. On that note, I can change small parts(stem, bars, seat, tires)to make the deal.
The rear cogs & chain are fairly new(approx 100 miles on both)Shimano LX & SRAM, respectively.
Oury grips, Airlock gel tubes & Maxxis (fr)& WTB(r)tires.

Edit: This bike also has the 20mm front & 12mm rear through axles.

Thanx, bro. The FSR is very *adaptable*- I've set it up for a friend who's like 5' 9" or so(shorter stem, lower seatpost). I'd also be perfectly willing to write '29' on the tires w/a sharpie.

Edit: Also- when you're over 40, full suspension is near-mandatory.

haha I know what you mean about the GAS. My roadbikes and cross bike wimper whenever I walk past cause theyre afraid theyll turn into bass money. Those are some sweet mountain bikes though.

Thanks- this is bike GAS-driven though; I test rode a nice new Trek & suddenly realized I haven't had a brand-spanking new ride in years. I deserve it, it gosh-darn it. /

Un-asked-for endorsement bump to say that I have built/ridden various FSR's since they first came out - this is the way to go for full-susp! The Horst link is far and away the best 4-bar setup around, no lie. Buy it...buy it now!

The FSR I bought at Ray's Cycle in Vacaville- a fine establishment, staffed by genuine cyclists; the Gemini I snagged off evil-bay from a guy who got it because he had back probs & needed the full suspension. The poor guy- his back got worse and after putting 50(mostly paved)miles on it had to get rid of it. I've definitely put some use to it but it's still in very good shape. How's it going, Ken?
