20" Zildjian K Constantinople Hi Bell Thin High Cymbal

Sign in to disble this ad
K Constantinople Hi Bell Ride cymbals from Zildjian explore a bell shape that was modeled after a 100-year-old pair of Zildjian orchestral cymbals. The larger surface area of the bell provides a wider range of frequencies, yet is not overpowering. Zildjian Hi Bell Rides also feature a combination of traditional K Constantinople lathing and innovative "Spiral" lathing techniques. The new technique of Spiral lathing allows the cymbal to remain controlled while still making the Ride "crashable" and delivering an articulate stick sound. The Spiral lathing is employed from the bell to the middle of the cymbal only, with traditional lathing on the remainder of the cymbal.

I am clearing some stuff out to make room for some recording upgrades, and unfortunately for me, it means getting rid of some things I love. I have played this cymbal out on some jazz gigs. It really handles everything so well, I have taken nothing more than a pair of hats and this cymbal on occasion. Crash it, Ride it, and the bell is cutting through.

Things of Note

Inside of the bell on the back, I have signed it with a sharpie. I do this with all my cymbals. In case one goes missing, well, there is no question. If you are checking out this cymbal, you know they are not easily replaced. Also, there are some light stick marks. I can clean the cymbal, but that will clean up the little bit of patina this thing has built up. Again, if you're checking this cymbal out, you appreciate the patina. I am pretty sure this model is no longer available.

I'm selling this for my drummer. ( I should have mentioned that the above description came from my drummer) I don't know the weight, but I can have him contact you. He can probably make a sound clip too.
