Pyroponic has to sell something fast, to buy a new bass. I thought that I bought a new(to me) bass 2 months ago month, but I'm still waiting for it. The tuner on my spare bass broke, because my exacting ear tuned tooooooo precisely and the resonant frequency shattered the tuning post. I swear.
So I love this instrument and I thought it was meant for me but I suppose not. I got it for a good price and I want to cash out for the same price I paid, because I like the talkbass forums people here. The guitar itself is mint condition brand new with case. The case has some nicks in it because I moved a few months ago and well it happens. The flight case quality Ibanez custom synthetic gator skin case is a massive tomb for this metal beast, so any nicks on it are like battle scars already.
The guitar sounds epic with EMG 808 active pickups at neck and bridge, the neck is wide but so thin I cannot really describe the feel of the neck but it works, so welll. . .A great feeling solid but not chunky neck that plays perfectly on all frets. It nails the meshuggah djent sound and hardcore grind with on overdriven tube amp but it can also do jazz or sparkly highs and all with a 3-D warmth to the sound that really fills it out due to the extra long 27" scale.
It is strung with handmade "Octave 4 Plus" strings, they are excellent strings made in california and very fresh. Strings are hard to find somewhat for these guitars and 0.4+ makes the best 8 string sets I have found so far.
This guitar is what it is, you know Ibanez is solid rock and roll and if you know meshuggah well this is the way to get seriously meshuggah.
The guitar is dead mint. I have played it for a total of 4 hours, give or take and owned it for 8 months. Not a nick or scratch on it and it plays perfectly. It's a beast, and new online going for 1800-2200.
