# 12.1" TFT XGA
# 1.2Ghz G4 processor w/ 512k level 2 cache

# 2 USB 2.0 ports
# VGA Out, S-Video and composite video cable optional
# 56K V.92 modem
# 10/100BASE-T Ethernet
# Airport Extreme 802.11g wireless

why is it so cheap?
well, it doesn't really work. A while back, this laptop fell victim to this-> link

basically, pressing down the power button caused the logic board to flex just enough that a solder joint broke and that causes problems. When it first happened, i drove to my nearest iStore and told them about it and how there are 4000 reported cases of that same thing happening--the guy told me that it would cost 700 bucks to fix at the time--when i just spent a grand on the thing, 700 wasn't looking good. it was for a new logic board, which is the main part of the laptop

So cut to today, I was looking on the internet, and noticed that logic boards had come down in price...http://www.ifixit.com/iBook-Parts/iB...oard/IF183-010 ifixit.com is a good website, and i notice they have one for 300 bucks--with a little knowhow, you've got yourself a ibook for 400 bucks, which isn't too bad for an apple at least imo

My iBook did the same thing....there are all kinds of DIY fixits on the web...one involves putting a piece of rubber roughly the size of a quarter in between the logic board and the casing of the iBook. I tried it and couldn't get it to work....but the guy I sold it too got it to work no problem.

Also, I was able to use the external video hookups to run to another monitor...so that is always an idea.
