If I were looking for a new mic I would buy this right now- the 4033 is a fantastic low noise and low distortion condenser- no transformer, wonderfully fast response.

These are nice mics. I have a pair of them and got nice results with them on an acoustic guitar. I've been also been wanting to see how well they do recording my wife on clarinet but we just haven't gotten around to that yet.
