In good shape, manual included, needs new internal battery(haven't lost the memory but the low battery warning pops up). Local preferred but negotiable.

Hey, thanks for the input. I wouldn't cry if this thing didn't sell & I could get a new battery installed for cheap. On that note, how long has yours been *low*? I'm afraid to mess w/mine for fear I'll drain the battery completely & have a useless hulk(the manual claims you'll lose all memory if this happens).

ESQ1 Battery

Hello,
I have the same keyboard. I did the battery replacement about 6 months ago....pretty easy if you know your way with a soldering iron. There was a guy on E-Bay selling the batteries and instructions on how to do it. If he doesn't have them available anymore I can send you the instructions by e-mail then you just have to find a good battery!! I think it cost me about 25.00 and a half hour of my time.
Thanks,
Terry

There's a free library program floating around the internet that will load up all the factory patches for you at will...my ESQ-1's battery died years ago, but it's still usable, just plug it into the computer and go. Makes programming new patches easier, too.

Can't give you a link, but if you poke around with google it should still come up; the original author's site went down but the program bounces around.

EDIT: all this assumes that you have some kind of MIDI interface, of course

The sequencer in the ESQ1 is easy to learn, the keybed (key 'action') is wonderful, and most synth heads dig the user interface.

I just got mine out of the shop: new battery, upgraded the operating system to 3.5, cleaned connections, etc. Plays and sounds good as ever.

Whoever ends up with it, get the manual... and enjoy .

Did I not mention the manual is included? Also very open to trades- I need a good small-to-medium cab(1x12 or 2x10), other synth stuff, whatever..?
