Wild Beasts "Two Dancers": Newer band. Interesting sound, throwback new wave that's ambient and spacy. Nice instrumentation and the singer has a unique sounding voice. All in all a good listen.
The Roots "do you want more?!!!??!" Hub and ?uestlove on the rhythm. Probably don't have to say a lot here. Good, classic breakbeat funky Roots.
Cherry Poppin' Daddies "Zoot Suit Riot" Yeah. Bought out of nostalgia, and because I have a cool memory of this album when I was a kid.
Jennifer Gentle "The Midnight Room" Awesome band! Italian psychedelic garage rock, although this album is a lot more spacy than their previous releases. I had the opportunity to see them with Dead Meadow in 06 and it was the best show I've ever seen, which I know is a bold statement. Very interesting sound, singer has one of the weirdest voices I've ever heard. A strange and beautiful record; highly recommended.
