FS: 1975 Strat natural --- great condition!

Hey TBers,

Insane price: 1350$ shipped!

I have an awesome brother who gave me this sick 1975 (I believe) strat as a wedding gift. It had sat under his bed for the last 10 years unplayed! Of course, it was a very nice gesture...but I am a bass player. Anyway, I have already purchased a bass with the cash that I was counting on getting for this strat, so now I need to go ahead and sell it.

As you can see in the pics, I brought it to a local, very professional luthier. He set it up, put new strings on there, and fixed the nut. The thing is now playing sweet with great low action. It sounds pretty amazing. I am selling it for this low price because it has a few things that keep it from being "all original"

1) The luthier believes the two Pups closest to the neck are not original (one has two small cracks from being tightened to far?--see pics)

2) 1 or 2 of the saddle elevation screws will need to be replaced...one is stripped but can be removed with some plyers I believe. I would do it myself but I don't have the screw to replace it.....regardless, the luthier was able to set it up (see how the one saddle is higher on one side than the other) so no biggie

3) The luthier said the truss is maxed out for loosening. He could tighten it more but not loosen it. So if you like really high action this is not the guitar for you!

The body has some basicwear and one dent which I show in the pictures, but overall it is in fantastic condition for being almost 40 years old.

I say I believe it is a 75 because the luthier did a lot of research of the body type, serial numb, etc and told me he is about sure. I am not all that interested in taking the neck off and possibly ruining the great setup that the guitar has....so 75, 74, 76, whatever something like that (serial # 656732) .
Guitar will be shipped in a GNL hard case with no latches. The case is in fine condition besides the latches so it will be fine for storage but NOT for carrying around, gigging! My price is cheaper than any on Ebay so get it while its hot! http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trks...at=0&_from=R40

Alright, I am sick of talking about it. Here are the pics (sorry I am not a pro at pics)

Looks like a '75 to me, I have the same thing with a maple fingerboard. The balance and feel are amazing! Good luck with your sale.

Thanks for the positive feedback gents. Yeah....ideally I could get one of the guitarists I work with to buy this thing cause it is really smokin. Unfortunately they are a bunch of broke sobs! Anyway, back to the top with this beast!
