FS 84/86 MIJ Telecaster, orig HSC NICE!!$500 plus shipping

Ok, so this guitar belongs to a buddy of mine, and I told him I'd advertise it a few places for him to see if I could sell it for him. It's an extremely nice original "E" serial number made in Japan Telecaster, no noticeable damage. No buckle rash, a few small impressions in the paint, but no chips or deep scratches. I've had a few early to mid eighties Fender Japan Basses, and the quality of this guitar is right on par with those. They were some of the nicest quality Fenders I've had- hands down. The fit and finish of these guitars is rarely seen nowadays at double the price.
I paint cars for a living, so I'm hyper sensitive to paint thickness. This guitar doesn't have the thick "dipped in plastic" finish that you see on new MIJ guitars. The paint finish is thin- as is the clear on the neck. The neck has nice subtle figuring on the fretboard, zero wear on the frets. A couple of tiny wear marks on the neck at the first few frets, B and E strings. That's the only noticeable wear I can find on the guitar-
Electronics all original, and work fine. Guitar has the tele tone you'd expect-
Comes with it's original hsc. All clasps and hinges in perfect shape-

He's looking to get $525$500 plus actual shipping. I think this is a heck of a deal for a beautiful guitar-
Drop me a pm if you have any questions or want more pics-

Guitar is in the Providence Rhode Island area- local sale would be great!!

thanks-

For anyone interested, I have an E series strat and it kills most of the american strats I've played in the last 10 yrs.

These guitars are THE sleeper bargain.

Very nice Tele, if I had the extra cash I'd buy it in a min. Does your friend do any recording, and if so, swap for a beautiful Shure KSM 32? this one...
Shure KSM32 (Champagne) | Sweetwater.com Let me know.

Sorry to post up the offer here, but I thought I'd bump the axe for you.

thanks for the bump-

This guitar DOES blow most new stuff out of the water- it's really nice!!

My friend does record, he's very particular about his mics. I shot an email off to him with your offer though- we'll see what he says-

Another free bump for you.

I have an 87 identical to this I bought brand new and my brother loves it. He plays it more than he plays his high dollar Les Pauls and strats!! These are definite sleepers and good quality!

if the strings were fatter, and there were two less of 'em, I'd buy it !!!

honestly, there are a couple of interested parties- seems like we're down to negotiating the little details on the guitar- first one to step up will own it-
