FS: Bass Guitar for Dummies $10

Selling my copy of Bass Guitar for Dummies by Patrick Pfeiffer. Like most of the 'For Dummies' books, this has a lot of useful info for new bass players and some vet's who haven't been formally trained. The cd that comes with it was broken in shipment to me, so it's useless. THe book itself is in great condition. A new one is about $17 from amazon.com, plus shipping so I'll sell this one for $10 shipped. It'll come to you in a padded envelope via USPS.

And here's a link for anyone interested: http://www.amazon.com/Bass-Guitar-Du...6023043&sr=8-1

Is this book good as a teaching tool in your opinion? I'm not a teacher but I work informally with a couple people and feel like I don't always come up with the best ways to present the concepts I'm attemping to, uh, present.

Also, did you buy this book used yourself? Just wondering why you didn't get the CD replaced.

I bought it new. Honestly, I was just too lazy to send it back for the cd. I usually don't use them anyway.

I think it would be a decent teaching tool. It takes ideas and communicates them in a way that the average person can understand. There's also sections dedicated to techniques used in different styles of music.
