I am selling to fund a purchase of a newer camera, but this camera is absolutely fantastic. I'm the original owner and have had it for a about four years. I'm going to let it go at a killer low price because I don't have any of the booklets that it came with or any cool accessories.

*Please note* I will include the standard canon 18-55mm lens that it came with, but there are some serious issues with the lens. I'm 100% sure that the problem is completely in the lens and not the camera. I borrowed a friend's lens for about 6 months and everything worked absolutely fantastically. The problem with the lens that I have is that about half of the time I try to take a picture, it doesn't work and shows "Err 99" on the display. I've looked up the error and it's just a problem with where the lens connects with the body of the camera.

All of that to say that this price is pretty much just for the camera body, although I will throw in the semi-usable lens. Comes with a battery.

$200 shipped.

That is an amazing price for a great entry-level DSLR camera. Also, you can get higher end Cannon lenses to use on the XT until you upgrade camera bodies. It's my current plan with my Rebel XT, although I have just the kit 18-55mm lens currently. Takes some great pictures!

It's funny that you say this... I JUST NOW decided that I'm going to hang on to the camera and invest in some more pricey lenses instead of a pricey camera body.

Invest in a battery grip, and a better flash after you get a lens that works, along with a bunch of CF cards (the way I hear it, they are being discontinued in distribution to most stores, but are still available online.).

Haha, yes. I'm planning on getting a nicer lens, good carrying case, flash, and batt. grip. I already have enough cards. Thanks for the advice! This thread is closed.
