You probably already know about these, so I won't go into too much detail, but basically they're known as one of the best portable audio players around with a very high sound quality from the headphone amp (DAC). Plays just about any audio format you can think of (videos too!). Records audio through the line-in 1/8" jack. Acts as a USB host with the included cable (so you can trasfer pictures from a camera directly to the device, for example).
I've also installed Rockbox, which is awesome! Tons of great features. More info here: http://download.rockbox.org/manual/r...box-build.html
Of course you (or I) can easily revert back to the original firmware if you want.
I'm just selling it because I need some $ and I'll probably get something with more storage space later on.
It's in very good condition. The only thing is that the joystick got mashed one day and so the left motion works a little more diagonal (up/left) now, and it's a little fudgy sometimes. Never posed a problem for me though...
Comes with the iAudio x5, the subpack (with USB, line-in, line-out, and AC connections), the USB host cable (mini-usb to female USB), and a stereo 1/8" male to 1/8" male cable (~3' long. For the line-in or line-out I assume), the power adapter, and the USB cable for computer connections.
Lets say...$186 shipped?

It has a lot more options and tweakability than the original OS. Plus you can play games (DOOM, anyone?), add applications. Gives you Battery life as a percentage, shows the volume as an actual value of the headphone amp gain, does ID3 tagging, karaoke mode (takes out center channel to remove vocals), better EQ and recording options, video playback, themes, picture viewer, midi playback. Tons of cool stuff. You can download it for a bunch of different players (iPods too, up to the 5th generation). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rockbox

Meaning, I want to arrange music in folders on my 'puter and upload the folders to the mp3 player, and see that named folders on the player. I have a Sandisk Sansa and that's not possible.

That's exactly how it works. It only reads the ID3 tags to show the proper track title and other information during playback. It doesn't organize them by ID3, so however you've got it setup on your computer when you copy the folders over is how it'll show on the player
