FS Feeler: 1981 G&L F-100 Series II (6-string) in CAR w/ OHSC, Excellent!

Hate to let this one go, but I'm facing a significant pay cut and something's gotta give.

For your consideration: A 1981 G&L F-100 Series II (denotes 7.5" radius) in excellent condition for a 30-year-old guitar. This one has the slot pole pieces exclusive to the earliest examples of this model. Candy apple red finish is stunning in person, with just a few scuffs and very small dings/pits toward the lower bout and a small crack at the neck pocket (not through the wood) that a previous owner appears to have treated with super glue. Chrome is in great shape. Knobs switches and electronics are all original and function as they should. Nut is brass, which I assume was not factory stock. Neck is in outstanding condition with beautiful grain--just a couple of very small scuffs on the back. Truss rod functions perfectly. Frets are level with tons of life left. I've tried to capture all minor flaws in the pics linked below which wasn't easy, even in broad daylight.

The scale length is 25.5" (22 frets). Nut width is 1 5/8". Not sure of the weight, but would guess about 7.5 pounds. I believe the body is poplar, but it's difficult to tell from the neck pocket. Doesn't seem heavy enough to be maple, I don't think. Neck and body are dated March and April of '81 respectively.

Comes with the original, fitted tolex case also in fantastic condition with just a couple of very minor scuffs. Also comes with the oft-gone-missing original whammy bar & Allen wrenches, all of which combine to make this something of a rare find. I've owned four F-100s over the years and this is honestly the nicest I've come across.

Due to the exceptional condition of this instrument, I'd like to get $750 shipped (CONUS), but will entertain reasonable offers. Might consider cool mics, effects (bear in mind I'm primarily a bass player) or outboard gear in partial trade, but any such deal would have to lean heavily toward the cash side. Mostly interested in a straight sale due to my economic circumstances, but you can always try me. I'm in Madison, WI and will gladly cut a deal to anyone in the vicinity who saves me the trouble of shipping. PayPal accepted.
