FS/FT :: 1993 Trek 1100 - $300
I have seen these bikes selling for $150 (in need of cables, tires, chain etc) to $450 in pristine showroom condition. So with that said, please feel free to make me an offer on this bike if you're interested. All of the pictures are mine and were taken by me, so I don't think THAT is the reason I'm getting flagged. I honestly don't understand. Anyway... it's a 1993 58cm Trek 1100 and while I really do love it, it just doesn't fit me well. I am just over 5'10, with a 32" pant inseam. If you're 5'10 or taller this bike may fit you well, and is probably ideal for an average proportioned 5'11 - 6'1 man.
This is an aluminum frame with a chromoly fork and I estimate the weight of the complete bike to be around 22 pounds.
From what I can get off bikepedia, this is a 1993 Trek 1100, although I have upgraded a few things. The original came with Exage levers and brakes, and I have replaced the brakes with RX100 (the old version of Shimano 105) Dual Pivots that are a serious improvement. The brake levers are in excellent shape and work very well, so I chose not to upgrade them. This bike has been recently professionally overhauled, and is ready to ride!
All cables have been replaced and the bars were re-wrapped at that time. The saddle was upgraded to a Velo Tempo SRW (fitness style saddle) at that time as well. To finish off this overhaul, I had a new chain installed, with a new freewheel. The chain rings showed no wear at all, so they were left. The overhaul was completed in November and the bike has only been test ridden since that time.
The shifters and derailleurs are RX100, and the wheels (not original) are Matrix hubs w/ Matrix rims with nearly new continental tires. The wheels are straight and true, and have no issues.
If you're willing to pay me the full price in cash, I am throwing in a brand new (in box) Serfas level three wireless computer (with wireless cadence too).
ALSO, if you're interested in a set of bullhorns on this, I have a pair of Profile TT style that I was debating putting on that I would throw in for an additional $50. The bullhorns will include DiaCompe TT brake levers, a complete set of brake cables (with housing) and a box of cork style bar tape. A 90mm stem is mounted on the bars as well. $50 is what I paid for these items, so that's what I'm asking for them. They're seen in the last picture.
