I bought this a few years back and I love it, however I just bought a new acoustic/electric so I probably won't be playing this that much. That being said, if this doesn't sell I have no problem keeping it.
From what I could find online about the 5227, they were made from the late 70s to mid 80s. I read a few reviews that said this was the closest model of guitar you could soundwise/playwise to a Martin without the hefty price tag.
Guitar is in good shape...on a scale of 1-10...cosmetically I would give it a 7, just b/c there might be some small dings and fretboard has some wear....soundwise I would give it an 8..and playability about the same. Action is fine. Sound is projected very well. Might need slight adjustments to cater to particular playing styles as some frets buzz...so might just need a nut.
Here is a video on youtube...this isn't me and this isn't my guitar, but it is the 5227..and it will give you an idea of what it sounds like:

Seems like the price on these goes anywhere from $250-400, although I did see some guy claiming a music store told his wife that they would fetch $700-1000...but I have no idea.
Ok, enough blabbing.
$225 shipped with a nice case!!! Paypal is fine.
Trades for EHX Micro Synth, Moog Phaser (or another Moog pedal), etc...anything else run by me.

Like I said, if it doesn't sell, I have no problem keeping it...but hopefully someone can use this and help me make some room!!
