FS/FT Carvin CS3 White and Gold sim2 LP or PRS

I love this guitar, especially now that I put the EMG 89 in the bridge and the EMG 89 RX in the neck. Killer! I also am experimenting with a SPC or RPC preamp to boost the single coil bliss. I think I just have to accept that I am not a carve top guy. I still have to do a review on the pups since I am delayed in reviewing because my webcam broke. So I still have to do that. I no longer have the stock pickups. I am going to ask for 1000 OBO. I know that money is tight these days so I am very open to trades; +/- cash depending on the value of instruments being considered. BTW, it includes a deluxe Carvin tweed case.

I dig Bolts, Contours, and TL60s. As previously mentioned, not a huge carved top guy. Also, no tremolos. Hardtails only! Big fan of Teles, SGs, Hardtail Strats (which are rare), and G&L ASATs. Let me know what you have, never hurts to ask. I honestly would not be upset if I was 'stuck' with this guitar, it is absolutely amazing!

Specs:
Standard CS3 in addition:

Style: CAL SINGLE, MAHOGANY, M BRIDGE
Color: WHITE/WHITE
Inlays: MOTHER OF PEARL BLOCK INLAYS
Frets: STAINLESS STEEL FRETS
Hardware: GOLD PLATED HARDWARE
Neck pickup: EMG 89RX
Bridge pickup: EMG 89
EXG preamp as well.
Wired as vol, vol, master tone, master exg.
Each volume pot is a push/pull for single coil operation.

I weigh the guitar just under 9.5 lbs

Updated trade bait:

I am really looking into venturing into the Line6 stuff. I mostly play at home and the modeling will give me the flexibility I want. Really interested in a variax bass, variax guitar (preferably the 300) and a Pod HD500 or Pod X3 live. Always into a great SG as well.

I have a beautiful, white TL60 SSH hardtail. You can't have it though. lol

Good luck with the sale. Carvin's are hard to sell, I'd maybe try over at the Carvin forums or the Museum.

I got a CS3 already, so count this as a free bump for a guitar with very high quality fit and finish at a very fair price.

Thanks for the bump Fluffy! These CSs blow the socks off of anything I have touched by Gibson and PRS in terms of quality and playability. I wasn't a huge fan of the stock pups though.

Funny thing, for guitar I just love beat up hardtail strats. Go figure

What's the 25" scale on this feel like, is it similar to a LP or Strat like? How about the neck width and string spacing as well? LP or Strat like?

It is kind of interesting that really it is somewhere in between. I would say that it in some ways it plays like a Strat, but feels? like a LP; since you have a similar radius and the set neck. I prefer strats / bolt on guitars so to me this is kind of the 'best of both worlds'. My friend who is a die hard LP fan was blown away with the sustain (string through) and overall playability. He preferred it to his much loved Standard, and I think ended up ordering one. I am not sensitive enough to notice any real difference between the scale length or neck spacing, but to be honest I haven't played a Gibson LP in a long time, I always end up grabbing an SG if I have a choice

Let me know if you have any other questions, the EMGs really make this guitar sing and can give some really cool tele/strat tones as well.
