FS/FT: Custom Made Cocktail Drum Kit

Sign in to disble this ad
This is local only. Nashville, TN area. I don't have a proper box to ship the cocktail drum. So if you are in or will be in the area and interested, let me know.

Just recently had this drum custom made from scratch. The main 14x24 shell is 6 ply maple. The drum has pearl forum lugs (8 to a side), 4 Pearl Floor Tom Leg Mounts w/ Gibraltar legs (extra stability vs. 3 legs if you plan to hang cymbals, snare, etc. on main drum), pearl internal muffler for top head, remo cotaed powerstroke 3 on top and clear pinstripe on bottom. I also have 2 remo muffle rings. Its a plastic tray that sits on the edge under the head with a foam strip for extra muffling if needed.

The kit comes with a matching Pearl Forum 14"x5.5" snare for the side. I have a regular snare stand or if you are tall, I have a old base from a hi-hat stand that works with the snare basket. The snare has a remo coated vintage ambassador on top and a remo clear side head. I believe ambassador as well. I also have a extra coated Ambassador that was used little on the top of cocktail head. So you will have a extra if you want to switch the cocktail heads around or put the powerstroke 3 on the snare.

Also included is a brand new Gibralter bass pedal that I converted to a reverse cocktail pedal. Pedal could easily be reversed back to regular if you already have a cocktail pedal.

All the chrome hardware is brand new except the lugs and they look in great shape as well. The drum was wrapped in white satin flame which looks really good. Has that vintage vibe. There are no top mounts. But you can order some extra Pearl mounts to match. I think I might even have a extra one I can give you. You could add a steel popcorn snare and mount to the main drum. Wouldn't cost much to wrap in the white satin flame as you could go to drummaker.com (which is local in Nashville) and pick up a scrap piece to wrap a snare.

Cymbals and cymbal stands would complete this kit. I have a Gibralter boom arm that clamps to a cymbal stand to make a "double" cymbal stand. I also have a meinl splash cymbal arm I can throw in. And a PDP closed Hi Hat arm. I have a old Meinl 14" crash cymbal you can have too.

Price is $350 OBO. I have a lot more in this kit with parts/labor ($580 to be exact). But I have had a change of plans and no longer have a need for a cocktail drum. Will consider trade for a Fender or Squier Precision bass. Prefer a burst finish with rosewood neck. But will consider anything as long as its a PBass and Fender/Squier. Squier, would prefer vintage modified or classic vibe. Would also be interested in a Squier Telecaster Bass or any kind of '51 style bass as well. Not really into Jazz basses, but will consider.
