FS/FT Fender Strat Daphne Blue relic (US hybrid)

Hey folks,

What's up for a grabs is a really neat guitar with somewhat of an unknown builder/relic.

When I first picked this guitar up and played it the first thought in my head was "this guitar feels right". It seems like that one guitar that studio keeps around to just record with and play because it's a good player and sounds like an old strat should.

This is a Fender through and through. I called Fender and verified the information I am about to post.

The neck is a 2001 American Standard neck. Serial number and date stamp check out through Fender customer support. It has some light relicing around the headstock and the 50's style Kluson tuners also lightly aged. The back of the neck looks like it's been played alot but whomever did the finish did it right. Smooth as butter.

The body took me while to figure out. I am "almost" sure it is a MIM body due to the CNC routing holes (3 not 1) that most MIM guitars have. When they did the Daphne blue Nitro it appears they covered the neck pocket so I don't actually know. The pickups are ceramic and the bridge is a MIM Fender 50's bridge due to how they wrote the Fender so I am going with MIM. The Relic job looks awesome in person. The pickguard and pickups yellowed in the right spots and the knobs perfectly dirty lol. The string tree is not original but I am not sure if that was due to the relic job or not, but it works. Also comes with whammy bar and the tolex hard case with the Glo orange/gold interior in the photos.

The action, fit, and finish on the guitar is top notch. Plays like butter and sounds like an old strat (that's not old) should. One of the reasons I am getting rid of it. I like humbuckers.

Someone had this thing built to look like a 2001 Custom Shop Daphne Blue Heavy Relic, I think they succeeded in many ways.

No bad to speak of other than it's beat up looking (by choice). Everything works as it should. It is currently strung with a new set of Ernie Ball 46-9's.

DATE CODE IS JUN 2? 2001, the sticker stuck to the Nitro.

Trades through them by me. Just curious what you would offer trade wise.

As far as a sale is concerned I would do this for TRADED.

Thanks for looking.
