Ok so I just bought this setup a few days ago. Something on my computer doesn't play well with pro tools. I'm not sure what it is. I contacted the company (digidesign) and they say that it's most likely a driver or some other software that is clashing with it. I could spend the time tracing everything and figure out who the culprit is. But in all honesty; pro tools is beyond what I want. I just want as simple recorder to record ideas when I have them at 2:00am. I'll leave the real recording to the pros. Anyway, I've tried to return this package but the company I purchased it from want to take almost half of what I paid as a restocking fee. Basically, they want me to just give them a few hundred bucks. I don't think so. So hopefully I can sell it or trade it for something I would actually use.
If you want to buy it outright, I will sell it $400 shipped CONUS. I paid $450 for it and like I said; it's brand new. Also, there is a coupon with the setup that, if you send the upc, you will get a free microphone. The mic is a sm58 knockoff, but hey; it's a free mic!
If you want to trade, I could always use another bass. Preferably a five string. But I don't want a boutique. i.e. I don't want to give you this package and $4000 for your high end bass. But if you have something to trade, run it by me. I'm willing to add cash to fair up the deal but I don't want to spend more than a couple hundred or so. So if you have something under $1000 and you want this and some cash, lemme know.
I don't need amps or cabs; I'm set on both. The only other thing I would consider trading for is something that I could record with. Maybe like the Boss BR-600 or the Fostex MR16HD or the Tascam DP-01FX...etc.
