Hey Folks, ***SOLD***SOLD***SOLD***
American made Ovation guitars are just so nice...I was really lucky to score an older model, with a lacquered spruce top...
Back in the summer I was playing an acoustic gig regularly, so I picked this one up, but that gig has dried up. I wouldn't mind keeping this twelve string guitar, but I figured I'd put it out there to see if there was any interest here on TB.
So this is the easiest 12 string I've played, with a full sized body. Sounds Great! and comes with the original Ovation case. Made in the USA, in Connecticut, super quality. It's from the late 70's early 80's. It has a pickup inside it but its very weak... it was one of the first ones Ovation tried on their guitars, but honestly, its not that good compared to the stuff that's around today. I used to use a Dean Markley pro mag in the sound hole. Acoustically, this thing sounds very full and bright... you will not have trouble being heard.
The body has some cracking in the lacquer (yes, its lacquer!) finish work on the top of the guitar, not in the wood, just the finish. Everything else is fine, stays in tune perfectly. I own two other Ovation 6 strings made in Korea, and the difference in the quality of materials and workmanship is very evident. Case is in excellent shape as well...even has the key to lock it.
