I have a 1995 G&L ASAT Special that doesn't receive too much attention as I am (not surprisingly) more of a bass guy and I'm narrowing my instrument collection down quite a bit.
Sienna sunburst finish
MFD pickups
Black crinkle pickguard
Maple neck and fretboard, 1 5/8 at the nut
Sperzel tuners
overall, it is in fair to good condition cosmetically, there's some harmless rust on the polepieces, it has some dings scattered throughout the body but no serious scratches and nothing that goes through the finish. the neck has very very shallow dings but it feels very broken in. the frets are in immaculate shape - i am assuming somebody had it refretted not too long ago, who ever did the work did an amazing job... no sharp fret ends and I can set it up for pretty low action. the Sperzel tuners are in excellent shape and fully functional.
anyone looking to buy a G&L guitar has heard a variation of this statement: in terms of sound, construction, finish, and playability, this guitar truly SMOKES any Fender Telecaster I have EVER played. the only reason I am selling is because I am now focusing on bass 100% and I never use it.
