ST2 mics provide high background noise rejection, internal shock mount and a frequency response appropriate for toms, snares, and many other sources. They sound close to SM-57 with slightly more bass to capture the rumble of toms, and slightly more highs for extra clarity. They work well for guitar cabinets and even vocals.
