FS: Marantz PMD670 Solid State Recorder

Sign in to disble this ad
This is an older but still excellent solid state recorder, a favorite of professional journalists for many years. Bigger than the current crop, and the built-in mics are just ok. But it has lots of great recording and editing options, good mic preamps with phantom power, an awesome padded case with plenty of pockets for mics etc. Records onto CF (Compact flash) cards. With good external mics this thing will kick the pants off the current generation of small recorders. Very light but very sturdy.

Has several VERY cool features, such as while recording you can hit a button and it will start a new file without a break. Great for song breaks etc.

Original manual and power supply, 1GB CF card (added), NiCad rechargable battery (added).

This unit has seen extremely light use, so apart from a bit of dust on the case, it's in like-new condition.

Asking $200 shipped in the continental US.

Here's a site with the full specs.

Well I have to give you a bump, I have one and love it, and paid well over $800 for mine new. Well worth every penny at that price too.
This is a great recorder and pretty much being given away at this price. If mine wasn't so reliable and rock solid I would consider buying this one as a backup.
I can't imagine this will last very long.
Cheers,
Dirk

Thanks for the bump...

I think I paid close to that too. Sadly I didn't use it very much, but it's a great unit. Barely used, people!
