FS: My Last Set of Bass Books

Sign in to disble this ad
I think this will be my last listing to sell Bass Books and related books. I am moving pretty soon. There is not room for these books (and other stuff I have been selling). I want to sell these so they get used by someone rather then putting them in the recycle bin. I believe the book prices are very reasonable.

Shipment is USPS Media Mail w/Delivery Confirmation, CONUS only. The shipping cost is about $4 per book with reduced shipping cost for multiple items. Price include shipping package, postage and Delivery Confirmation. I will give you the cost once you know what book(s) you want to purchase

Paypal payment is preferred but I am open to other options.

The books are:

In Step - Bass Recorded Versions from the Stevie Ray Vaughn CD (Paperback) - $5 - Sold
Excellent condition, notation and tab

Lynrd Skynyrd Bass Anthology Series - Bass Recorded Versions (Paperback) - $5 - Sold
Excellent condition, notation and tab. The Ballad of Curtis Loew, Don't Ask Me No Questions, Down South Jukin', Free Bird, Gimme Back My Bullets, Gimme Me Three Steps, I Ain't the One, The Needle and the Spoon, On the Hunt, Saturday Night Special, Simple Man, Sweet Home Alabama, Tuesday's Gone, What's Your Name, Whiskey Rock-A-Roller

Bass Groves by Ed Friedland (2004, Paperback/CD). - $5 - Sold
This book is in excellent condition, the CD plays perfectly. In this book, Ed takes one through a lot of different styles with both the bass part and the drum part. The CD has play along tracks that illustrate the examples and provide a practice method. He includes instructions on how to program drum machines so you can use that as your accompanient option.

Bass Guitar For Dummies by Patrick Pfeiffer (2003, Paperback/CD) - $5 - Sold
This book is in very good shape. The CD plays perfectly. Excellent book for the beginner/intermediate player. The CD has 70 tracks that play out musical instruction and examples given in the book.

The Bass Player Book, Karl Coryat ed. (1999, Paperback) - $5 - Sold
This book is in excellent condition. It is a compilation of articles from Bass Player Magazine that cover a comprehensive and wide variety of information/instruction about playing the bass guitar. The three main sections of the book are Playing the Bass (about 100 pages of material), Buying a Bass (about 50 pages of material) and Innovators (a detailed look at several top electric bassists, about 40 pages of material).

Just Classic Jazz - Ultimate Play-Along, Bass Vol. 2 by Jimmy Haslip and Barry Coates (2002, Paperback/CD). - $5 - Sold
This book is essentially brand new: never used and as such book and CD are in near perfect shape. In this book the authors take you through several standards and Jimmy shows you how he approaches solos over the heads. For each tune there is a lead sheet, Jimmy's solo in standard notation and tab and an explanation of the song strucuture, and his note and chord sub choices.

Studio Bass Masters by Keith Rosier (1999, Paperback/CD) - $5 - Sold
This book/CD is in excellent shape. In this book, Keith discusses with top studio bassists (Mike Brignardello, Mike Chapman, Nathan East, Hutch Hutchinson, Bob Moore, Larry Paxton, Dave Pomeroy, Leland Sklar, Neil Stubenhaus, Glen Worf and Bob Wray) their approach to studio work. It includes examples of their studio style (standard notation/tab) which is recorded on the CD.
