FT: 35mm SLR (Film) Lenses

My dad was big into photography 30-40 years ago. These are some leftovers from his stuff. Placing a value on it is hard. I am putting it up for trade for something I know about. All these stored safely away from dust, etc.

Pictured are a Pentax 50mm, Asahi 135mm, Vivitar 28-90mm, and a Sears (Asahi I think) 300mm lens. Also pictured a couple of flashes. I think he said these are "K" mount?

The K mount isn't compatible with a current DSLR...only older Pentax film SLRs (I used to work in camera shops); it may physically fit a DSLR body, but the electronics won't function, as the lens has none. The Sears-branded lens is most likely an Asahi-made (Sears contracted w/Pentax/Asahi to build Sears-branded stuff back in the late 60's/early 70's) and could very well be a real sleeper of a lens. The strobes are (L) a Sunpak something-something (can't read the front of it too well in the pic) and appears to be a dedicated unit (two contacts on the shoe); the other appears to be a Vivitar 2800, again dedicated (three contacts here), and IIRC the 3-contact is an older Pentax interface.

I would sell everything separately. My problem is putting a fair price on each item. My dad actually gave these to me to liquidate with proceeds going to my kid's college needs. I am on the road but will get the flash info on Wednesday evening.

The flashes are a Vivitar 5250 and a Sunpak auto 433D. From looking at ebay, both are pretty low value items.

The Vivitar 28-90 Series One is a killer lens - great sharpness, color, contrast and a wicked macro feature. If it's P/K-A mount, it will have a contact for some limited compatibility with electronics. (Check for a small electronic contact nub on the back side of the lens mount.)

...also did time selling cameras.
