I got this in a trade recently here on talkbass. I've always wanted to play Sitar, but I don't have the time or resources to really sit down and learn. So, my ineptitude is your gain. This is a beautiful instrument. The detail work is incredible. Everything is flawless on it. The only problem at the moment, is that I popped a string while tuning, and I haven't replaced it yet. The sitar comes with a full set of extra strings and a bunch of mizrabs. (sitar "picks").
I will not ship this instrument. I do not want to risk it getting damaged. I will trade it in Texas. The sitar is located in Houston. I go to school in Nacogdoches and am willing to meet anyone halfway. If you are not in Texas, and would still like to trade for it, if you have a friend in Texas, I would be willing to give it to them, and they take take of shipping for you.
I'd like to trade this sitar for:
A drum kit (must include stands and cymbals)
Basses (Must be 4 string and passive)
Basses I'm mainly interested in are Ricks, Hofners, Hollowbodies and Gibsons.
