Gibson ES 137, cherryburst, w/ case

This Gibson 137 dates from 2004. The guitar is in excellent condition--no breaks, cracks, buckle rash, or significant scratches. The top and back have a beautiful flame that is not entirely captured in the pictures. The neck is a bit chunkier than the slim 335 profile, but not as chunky as the 50s profile. I bought this used a while back so I am not the original owner. The guitar has not been played much; many dealers would list it "as new." This is a great guitar but I've just got too many around here and so something has to go. It comes with the standard-issue Gibson hardshell case w/ shroud.

I have one of these, mine is an '07...these are great guitars. As you probably know, the lead guitarist in Kings of Leon uses one of these as his primary guitar. Tonally, they are right in the middle between a Les Paul and an ES-335. At the prices these are going for, they are a real steal IMO, much nicer than the entry-level ES335s Gibson is making nowadays.

I believe the color on yours is called Light Burst, mine is a Cherry Sunburst and it has a lot more red and yellow instead of black and brown. It's a beautiful finish and I haven't seen too many in Light Burst. Good luck with the sale!!!
