Gibson Les paul-studio but not the faded version-HSC

Its important to know the differences in les paul models, there is the standard which my girl friend has , like 1800$ new then this model , this is the studio BUT there are 2 drastically different studios. One is 800$ new its a full mahogony body with cheaper pickups and this thin rather cheesy finish. Then there is this studio model which is selling for 1350$ at guitar center and thats because they just went on sale there usually 1400$ , this is basically just like a standard , sounds exactly and uses all the same stuff, like pickups it also has a maple cap just not figured like on that standard.

Why is this 400$ cheaper new then a standard if it sounds exactly the same? it has no binding and the cap is not figured wood ,aso the gibson logo is not shiny pearl inlay .

CONDITION- Pretty good there is some light wear on the gold plating , picking scratches around the treble/rythmn switch , a few light dings and scratches but it was a well cared for guitar.

800$ includes shipping , insurance and tracking anywhere in the CONUS-Epiphone case is included its a nice les paul case, has light wear.

Great guitar, I have a mid 90s Studio, It has nickel hardware and a ebony fingerboard.

Like stated, these are the same as a standard only difference is they do not have binding.

They have the 490R/498T pick ups the faded version has the Burst Bucker Pros

Yes they really are great guitars, people think of studios as a lower rung, well they are if there the faded ones , these are just as great as a standard they just dont have the binding.

My girlfriend plays this over her standard as it plays the same, sounds the same .She just hates binding on hers.

Anyways I dont really want to sell this but here it is .

this little chip is the worst of the wear, there are small dings and scrathes elsewhere but this is the worst.

This really has a nice top i love it

worst of the wear on the case

I wouldnt say the Fadeds are low quality, I actually like the thin satin finish, I just prefer the maple top and pickups in the regular studio

I thought all the studio models lacked a maple top and was only mahogany...or is it only the faded series?

Nope that is only the faded versions, the rest have maple tops and different pickups, if you got on guitar center you would see the faded ones are 799$ and i think 1350$ ? or around there for the maple topped and different pickup ones.

Also this finish is a deeper wine red then the current wine red which is way brighter.
