| Gibson les Paul Studio-Non Faded with Gibson Hardcase Its important to know the differences in les paul models, there is the standard, around $2500 new then this model , this is the studio BUT there are 2 drastically different studios. One is 800$ new its a full mahogony body with cheaper pickups and this thin rather cheesy finish. Then there is this studio model which is selling for $1319 at guitar center and thats because they just went on sale there usually 1400$ , this is basically just like a standard , sounds exactly and uses all the same stuff, like pickups it also has a maple cap just not figured like on that standard.
Why is this so much cheaper new then a standard if it sounds exactly the same? it has no binding and the cap is not figured wood ,also the gibson logo is not shiny pearl inlay. Some other minor things like tuners etc. CONDITION- Pretty good there is some light wear, 2 small chips , picking scratches around the treble/rythmn switch , a few light dings and scratches, and it has hairline finish cracks on the neck coing from the nut, they are stable and in the finish only not the wood-I was concerned and brought it to 2 techs that said the same, i am the 2nd owner my uncle was the first and he said they were there within 3 months of owning it, the guitar was made in 2008 and was a well cared for guitar. 700$ includes shipping , insurance and tracking anywhere in the CONUS-Gibson hard case is included its a nice les paul case, and identical to the one the standard comes with, I believe there $220 .[/quote]
