It is with great regret that I am selling one of my biggest investments- My Martin OMC Artinger 1. I bought this NEW with intentions of keeping it locked up in its case for about 20 years and hoping the price would go way up. I just found out that I am going to be moving, so I HAVE to sell off some gear to fund the move and to make less gear to haul.
Some background story....Matt Artinger makes uber-exotic and high-end guitars that run in the $4000 range. This acoustic is a collaboration between Matt Artinger and Martin guitars.
It has some awesome features like Martin's OM (orchestra) body shape, solid East Indian Rosewood back and sides, solid Adirondack Spruce top, Hybrid 'X' scalloped top bracing, low profile oval neck shape, ebony fingerboard bridge & tuner buttons, gloss finish on body, 25.4" scale length, 1 3/4" nut width, and the Martin Gold Plus Natural 1 electronics.
It also has a sound hole on the top side to project the sound toward your ear and a bevel/contour where your arm rests. And it has Koa (I think) binding around the sound holes, body, and fretboard. It comes with the original deluxe snake skin Martin case.
This guitar is in NEW condition. The strings have corroded but it's not from playing the guitar. There's less than 5 hours of playing on the guitar. I have stored it for over a year in my bedroom and kept it humidity controlled with an included sound hole 'sponge stick'. The Martin Retail price is $4500. I'm asking $2700. I will NOT be lowering the price on this as I do with many of my basses.
