Are you aware that walnut, purple heart and many other hard exotic woods are considered toxic, and at the very least can be serious skin irritants with prolonged exposure?

I am no expert on this subject, but you may want to look into this more before you start selling them.

Those are very pretty but, what you are doing is dangerous. Cherry wood is toxic.

BTW, You really should wear a face mask when sawing & sanding Cherry.

cherry and maple have almost no toxicity. it's the dust that can be a respiratory irritant.

that's why alot of baby products are made from them, especially cherry. alot of people even smoke meat with cherry wood and walnut.

i'll stay away from the exotics.

"Only 2% to 5% of the population will develop an allergic sensitivity to one or more compounds found in wood. Contact dermatitis from timbers is usually attributable to contamination of the skin during machining." taken from Botanical Dermatology: Plants and Plant Products Injurious to the Skin.

Yes the percentage is small, but the reactions can be serious, and are more likely to occur with prolonged exposure.

By the numbers you posted, 2-5 children out of every hundred may get a mouth rash from chewing on the wrong wood.

If you're a parent, would you like those odds?

Not trying to poop on your entrepreneurial parade, I actually think it's a very cool idea. Just your nervous nelly bass dork buddies making sure you know wood is a fickle bitch.
