Gonna try life with my Galaxy phone and laptop only, letting my kids have the tablet and releasing these into the wild...

iPod Touch 2nd generation 32GB. In a neoprene cover for all the time I've had it (included). Good shape, works well. One issue of note: the power button has lost it's 'clickiness' but still turns the iPod on & off fine (received it this way). USB/charging cable included, don't think I have an AC adapter but if I find one will include it. The marks on the screen are smudges, not scratches...I will try to take a better pic and upload. $75 $65 $55 shipped SOLD.


ASUS eee PC Netbook, model 900HD. Running Windows XP. 1GB RAM, 160GB HD, 900mhz processor. Front-facing netcam, built-in wifi, microsd slot, mic/phones/usb/ethernet/vga out. Includes AC adapter. Nice little travel computer. $105 $90 $80 shipped.












Motorola Blur - Slider phone with touchscreen (has protector on it). Slots for microsd and sim card (T-Mobile). Powered up and it seems to work! I forgot I still had this, I think it was OK when retired. Android OS, this apparently will run a Cyanogenmod 7 if you're so inclined. $30 $25 $20 shipped SOLD.

Even cheaper now. Also the concept of 'sharing' is not working so well with the kids so will consider trades for either a B&N Nook (color/color tablet or better) or similar Android tablet.

I know on the Asus you say it has a mic out, but wondering if it also has a built in mic for skyping without having to plug one in?

Yes, there's a built-in mic just to the left of the webcam on the screen's top bezel. I just fired it up and made a quick Windows recorder file, works just fine. Here's a spec sheet on this model:

I was asked about battery life on the netbook -- it still holds a charge but not for nearly as long as it used to. Haven't used it regularly in maybe a year or two but I'd guess it's got maybe a 45 min - 1 hour life. I found replacements on Amazon for around $21 each which I'd recommend picking up if you were going to rely on non-ac use.

Closing this, I think I'm going to park it in the practice space and use for quick recordings, Fender Fuse + multitrack/sequencing sw (the Super Champ X2 head btw is awesomely tweakable)...
