I've used this for a couple of years in my apartment studio on a blues junior, it's in mint condition. I recorded every guitar part on my website with this. I've used it for bass and while I don't record bass with it (I prefer direct), I've used it on my 600w trace rig and it kept the tone intact to jam with acoustic guitars and drums with brushes, etc...
but for guitar recording it's the bomb. It's the only way to record a tube amp and keep your tone and the volume low. throw a mic on your amp and what you hear thru phones and what you record sounds huge, and this is with the lowest setting "bedroom".
