a bass Company?
I'll give you the back story. About 6 months ago I with the help of my father purchased the assets of "The Bass Company" out of Bolivar, Mo. This was the culmination of a life long dream to be in the the business. Dad a retired master machinist was going to rough the instruments in Tennessee and I would do fit and finish in Illinois. Sadly, Dad has been diagnosed with Parkinson's and is not responding to treatment. I would estimate the wholesale value of the company to be 28-32k or higher (mostly) Grizzly machinery. Raw materials, Hardware, Electronics, Tools, fixtures ect. (there are about 120 or so finished bodies, 30 or so necks....)
I need to get 20k out

Have you thought of starting up a Kickstarter? Maybe you could calculate what it would take to hire a machinist with your father's skills and otherwise get an infusion of investment capital?
I can understand why you wouldn't necessarily want to do that, so best of luck getting to where you need to go.
