Hi Todd,

I pm'd you, but I thought I would post my question as well. I plan to purchase your walking dvds in the near future, but since I am primarily a rock guy, can you suggest some specific albums that would help get the sound and concept in my head. I'm not too familiar with jazz, so any help would be appreciated form anyone here on the forum. Thanks guys!

Hi Green1,

Sorry I'm so slow in getting back to you....I've been out of town filming a bunch of "jazz lessons". (Should be available for download in December...shhh...it's a secret! Ha!)

I would highly recommend "Smokin' at the Half Note" by Wes Montgomery w/the Wynton Kelley trio...(Sometimes I've seen the same CD as "The Wynton Kelly Trio w/Wes Montgomery"....either way....GET IT ASAP!! GREAT CD....

At one time in my life I listened to that CD EVERY DAY for a YEAR. It REALLY helped get the "sound" of jazz in my head. I can still sing most of the solos on that record....

A couple of others to get....

Kind of Blue: Miles Davis

We Take Requests: Oscar Peterson trio

There's probably a hundred great CD's to suggest, but these will get you started...

I hope this helps....Let me know how you like them etc.

Talk to you soon......
