My New DVD (Walking Bass Vol. 2) is HERE!!!

Hi Friends,

IT’S HERE!!!

My new "Walking Bass Module System, Volume 2: Scale Modules" DVD is now in stock and ready to ship!

The editing took a lot longer than we had anticipated, but I think you’ll agree that it was worth the wait. To order the DVD, just go to the "STORE" page on my website www.toddjohnsonmusic.com and follow the instructions. I will personally see to it that you get your DVD as soon as possible.

As most of you know, we filmed everything during the first week of January. I was still battling a nasty cold, but managed to get through filming despite being all jacked up on cold medicine. Thanks Thera-flu!! It’s amazing the DVD isn’t full of mistakes, but “praise the Lord”, we got through it in good shape.

I’m really excited about this DVD! A lot of thought and effort went into this project. I’m confident that Volume 2 will really help you to organize the fingerboard in addition to helping you add the “scale approach” to your walking bass arsenal.

Well, I’d better get back to work. I’ve got to start planning the next one!!

May I be the first to ask what type of video will the next one be?

Honestly, I'm in the process of deciding. Possibly a "Fingerboard Harmony" series....or "Improv 101"....Reading.....6 string specific.....I honestly haven't made up my mind.

BUT.....I will let you all know as soon as I make up my mind.

I'm afraid to ask, but........any suggestions?! ... ...

Absolutely. Fingerboard Harmony! I was hoping you'd say that one anyway!

Oh yea! I am very excited. Time to save up my allowance and get this. I have learned so much from the other DVDs you have out, Todd, and I'm still getting great instruction from them. I can't wait to add this new one to the practice schedule.

Would I be a real pain if I asked if there will be video preview posted here or at the website?

Why don't you just order it so you can transcribe all of it.

Hi Frank,

You're not being a pain at all.....well, not too much! Ha!

Forgive me for making excuses, but we've worked like crazy just trying to get the DVD finished. We managed to do so and get it manufactured...PTL!! .... We had hoped to have a video "preview/commercial" type of thing for it, but we just haven't been able to coordinate my schedule with my editors. (I've been a gigging machine in addition to being gone to Texas the last week or so.)

But....

I'm home now and my editors schedule is opening up. We're planning on working this weekend...so hopefully we'll "git 'er done" in the near future (hopefully this weekend). Believe me...it's in my best interest to get this done....Anyway....

Sorry for the excuses....All I can do is: Do my best with the energy God gives me every day...

So please believe me when I say: " I will get a "preview" up ASAP.

Thanks to all of you for your support, encouragement and patience.

Praise

Time for some praise for Todd. I ordered the DVD on Saturday, and it's already in my hand.

Thanks, Todd.

I'm really enjoying this DVD. Unlike other videos in the wild that are nothing more than an unorganized stream of Stuff, this DVD is an extremely well organized and very effective way to begin building a Walking vocabulary. It has plenty of info and plenty of examples. And then it's all illustrated super effectively with 4 transcriptions. Transcriptions that actually illustrate the material covered.

Excellent, effective, fun video.

Ok, Todd, how about giving us a word on how this second Walking DVD fits in the overall Todd Johnson University curriculum plan.

Does this Complete the story, or is it DVD 2 of X?

Thumbs up

I just opened my copy of Volume 2. It makes a lot of sense.

Thanks for the quick delivery of our "lesson".
