Hi Joaquin!!

Good for you!! I'm glad you're working with the DVD's. Well done.

Rhythmic embellishments....Hmm....Are you talking about embellishing your walking lines or are you talking about soloing?? It would REALLY help me to know.

In fact... get back to me and let me know and I'll gladly answer your question in detail.

Fair enough??

I look forward to talking with you soon!!

It won't hurt to bump it; but it won't help much either. When Todd's on the road, he can go a bit between checking in on this site. However, once he does, he will answer every thread.

Hi Joaquin,

Sorry I'm so slow in getting back to you. SmittyG was right....I was on the road...then got home and was (thankfully) Slammed with gigs all last week. I'm grateful...it's a good problem to have these days!!

It's funny you should ask...I actually address this topic in my Walking bass 3 DVD...(should be out in a year or so)...it's all filmed etc....just waiting for my publisher to put it out next year.

Anyway....I'll gather up some info for you and post it here in the next day or so OK?? I'm cranked until this afternoon, but will get back to you as soon as I can. Thanks for understanding....

Until then, hang in there....focus on the quarter note....and.... HAVE FUN!!!

I'll talk to you soon!!

Todd, you are very generous with your time here, and I hesitate even to ask, but I think I'll bump this question. If you have the time, I'd be very interested in what you had in mind to say in a brief format to this rhythmic embellishments in a walking line thing.

Off-topic, I'm looking forward to Todd's lastest Walking DVD. I plan to get volume two sometime in the next few months. Volume one was the best instructional I have used yet for bass.
