Cool. I'm not really familiar with your music (just your Zon signature model!) but I'm going to check out some of your methods on-line.

Funny...I literally just signed in on TalkBass...and there was my answer from you. What timing!

I have a TJ 5 Fretless and was just speaking to Joe on Tuesday about a fretted.

The idea of a headless TJ is something I was considering on my own as my TJ has just a bit of neck-dive. Great that you are forging a path with this and hopefully Joe will be open to making more of them!

Sweet! I am especially interested in E-F tuning. What type/gauge strings will you be using on the two new basses? Will both have 26 frets? Can you tell I'm interested?

Thanks,
Bryan

It just takes putting a VB neck and bridge on a TJ body!

This is exciting news! If this bass sounds and plays as good as your 34" scale with comparable definition of the B & E strings I will be placing an order! Thanks for doing this Todd. I have been looking for a builder to do a headless 6'er with narrow string spacing and a 33" or 32" scale bolt on neck but really haven't seen any examples that would give me the confidence to speculate on a custom build with those specs. However, if anyone can do this and make it work well, it is Joe. Let us know what you find out.
