I ran into a holiday cash flow problem and am looking to lighten the load.
The bass is S/N 25088, which Stowers' records date to early 1951. The bass is in "bluegrass" condition with many scratches and worn edges, the worst of which I have repaired with new wood and hide glue. All delamination has been repaired, also with hide glue. New endpin. Straight bridge (no adjusters). The neck has never been broken, but could use a reset, and both "roses" are missing. She's not real pretty but she booms like a cannon with gut or gut-like strings.
$1500. Will consider trading for a project bass plus cash. Located 120 miles due north of NYC and willing to travel within reason.
