For sale: 1962 Kay M-1 bass serial #44995. Rare dark color finish with rosewood fingerboard. Features include high quality bridge with adjusters, newer soundpost and deluxe endpin. Strung with Labella Supernil strings. I also had the late, great George Chestnut convert the dovetail to a solid block inside the neck so it is similar to a high quality European carved bass in that respect. This conversion by itself cost almost $1000 dollars and is reflected in the asking price. I am only the second owner of this bass, the first owner had it for it's first 40 years.
