2005 Shen SB300 Rogeri 3/4 w/ Mooradian case

It has been played quite a bit and has opened up nicely. It is larger than most 3/4 basses I've played - I hope to get some measurements up if anyone is interested. The neck is very comfortable.

-Fully carved spruce/maple
-Ebony fingerboard, tailpiece, nut
-Setup by Hammond Ashley
-Bridge adjusters
-Currently strung with Spiro Weichs (will install medium Helicores if you prefer)
-Deluxe Mooradian bag (the $500, 1 inch padding one)

Here's a short pizz sound file with the Helicores:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8778943/shen%20sample.wav

Sounds a lot better in the hands of someone who knows what they're doing. I hope to get some arco and Spiro weich soundfiles up by the end of the week.

$6500 OBO - comes with 7-day return policy, so potential buyers can have plenty of opportunity to use the bass in gig and rehearsal settings.
$6200 without case, obo.

Trades are welcome - I'm particularly interested in mic pres and ribbon mics. Also interested in acoustic guitars, stick basses, compressors, small diaphragm condensers, RE20, effect pedals, and electric basses.

Better pics added - I hope to get a sound file up sooner or later.

If this one is as good as mine, it's a helluva deal.

I've used this on a few recordings lately. This is definitely my most popular bass amongst audio engineers.

Price drop to $6000 plus case. I have a few different options for cases now. I have one that needs some sewing that I can throw in for free, a black padded one for $100, or the deluxe Mooradian for $250.

Yep - I've been using it quite a bit for recording lately, but it is still a bit redundant.

For trades I'm now interested in:
Ribbon Mics/ribbon mic preamps, distressors, LA2Aish compressor, 1073ish pre, analog synths, analog delays, drums and cymbals, and single speaker guitar cabinets.

Thanks for checking it out, Al. Your playing sounded wonderful - I should have recorded it! It was shaking the upstairs loft of my MIL unit. I just measured the scale length and it is 41.5" from bridge to nut. Compared to my Tosca (Italian solo bass copy), it isn't as quick, but its big sound has made it my best bass for playing bass lines.

Still for sale. I might also be interested in a partial trade for a smaller scale plywood bass.
