I am finally putting up my second instrument for sale - a 2007 Panormo model from Rumano Solano. Since commissioning this bass 2007, it has been fitted with an adjustable bridge of the highest quality, a Hill style tailpiece, a new nut, and a chromatic, tunable extension. All work has been done by Michael Hartery from Boston, MA. The design and sound of this bass is fit for orchestral and solo playing; there is plenty of punch in the low end, while the upper registers are accessible and projecting. I have made sure to maintain this bass throughout its lifetime. The only thing that has needed to be fixed in six years is an open seam!
For the price range, this instrument totally satisfied my needs as a serious student at music school. I played it all four years at Boston University and helped me gain entrance into graduate school at Rice as well as a couple of summers at Tanglewood. It is still my favorite Solano that I've ever played and I know it will make a good home in the hands of a serious player looking for all the benefits of a bass selling for $10,000 more. The bass currently lives with me in Houston, TX.
I am gladly taking any inquires about the bass. If you'd like more photos, details, or would just like to discuss possibilities, please contact me at: firstname.lastname@example.org
and I will get back to you promptly.
