5/8ths Juzak for sale
So since I got my new Seth Kimmel bass my other two basses have gone un-played, no surprise there. First up is the bass that made me investigate getting a really high quality custom built bass. This bass has a big sound and is easy to play.
Full Height 68"
bottom of body to scroll
Body Height 40"
bottom to shoulder (I measured to the bottom of the shoulder underneath the fingerboard)
Scale Length 38 1/4"
nut to bridge
Upper Bout Width 18 1/4"
Lower Bout Width 24 1/2"
Scroll to Shoulder 28 3/4"
Width at Nut 1 3/4"
also: upper width 7 5/8" bottom width 7 3/4"
Looking for $4000 but will listen to offers, no bass bag. Comes drilled with a Laborie endpin but also regular endpin.
Nice looking bass!
Where are you located?
I'm actually really interested in this. Do you have any other information you can provide?
Sorry just getting back to this. I am in southeastern PA just outside of Wilmington, DE.
Other info, I bought it from a luthier who had located it when an old Philly storefront was being cleaned out. Presumably a 1940-50's school instrument from the Philly school system. He repaired it and had his daughter using it. I was fascinated by the smaller scale and it became the genesis of my design with Seth Kimmel for my 5/8ths bass which I posted on this site less than a year ago. It has a really clear tone and sings in the higher register. What else would you like to know?
bump because I sold my other bass today, would love for this to find a home.
Hmmmm how to get this to Las Vegas....
Is SouthWest nice to basses?
