| Bass viola da gamba (made in the Czech Republich) with Bow
Hello:
I am offering my bass viol for sale again, this time complete with a bow. The bow is stamped J&MD and I was told it is a Dolmetsch bow. It has an ivory frog and screw, and a small sliver of wood taken off of in the tip that is not structural and does not effect the playability in any way.
The viola da gamba itself was made in the Chezch Republich in 2002 by Rudolph Fielder. It is a smaller size bass, with maple fittings, and a body in festoon (leaf) form. It is really gorgeous and speaks immediately. I have played this viol for professional gigs and it holds up well against other much more expensive instruments. I can tell you it plays better than any Chinese instrument I've ever played!
The instrument is in the Cleveland area, and I'd like to get $3,000 for the viol, bow, and a soft case. I'm happy to ship the instrument at the buyers expense! A great viol at a great price!
