I can't really read what's stamped into the back, prolly a school bass though. With that white wood fingerboard "ebonized" I'm wondering if this is a CCBSO that new would go for not more than $600-800?

Looks more like an older, European sh!tbox than a newer, Asian sh!tbox to me.

Well $260 for an old German or Czech ply + nut, fingerboard & bridge gets you to the $2K neighborhood, if I have correctly tallied my sums...

Don't forget edge repairs, varnish touch-ups, cleaning and lubricating the rusty tuning machines, decent endpin and strings...more like $2500-$3k?

And that's if nothing's actually WRONG with the poor old thing. If you wanna build the pyre, I'll bring the marshmallows and the sticks.

"white wood fingerboard?"

If my eyes aren't deceiving me, there IS no fingerboard or even a nut on this poor old girl.

Well that makes sense, I couldn't really see enough of it to tell that it was fingerboard or neck.

Send a message via AIM to Phil Rowan
"The fingerboard would have to be replaced installed".

Cool, if this were local I'd buy it just to try to fix on my own
